How should we support our pastors according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

We support our pastors by obeying their teaching and praying for their ministry.

The Bible teaches in Hebrews 13:17 that believers should obey and submit to their leaders because they watch over their souls. This implies that respect for pastoral authority is not about blind obedience but recognizing the God-given responsibility they have. Moreover, in verses 18-19, Paul encourages believers to pray for their pastors, acknowledging the burdens they carry in caring for the congregation. Praying for their pastors enriches the church community and enhances the effectiveness of the ministry. When the congregation actively supports their pastors through prayer and respect, it enables the leaders to fulfill their calling with joy and assurance.
