To whom do we pray?

Answered in 1 source

We pray to God the Father through Jesus Christ the Son, who is the only mediator between God and man.

In prayer, we address God as our Father, which emphasizes the intimate relationship we have with Him as His children. Matthew 6:9 shows that Jesus teaches us to pray, 'Our Father, who art in heaven.' This indicates that we can only approach God through Jesus, as He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Our prayers are directed to the sovereign God, who is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, ensuring that we recognize His supreme authority and ability to answer our petitions according to His will.
