What are the comforts extended to the people of God?

Answered in 1 source

The comforts extended to God's people include forgiveness, peace, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

God’s comforts to His people include profound assurance and peace that come through the finished work of Christ. As illustrated in Hosea 2:14, He speaks comfortingly to His people after chastening. Comforts include the assurance that their iniquity is pardoned and that they can rest in the truth of Christ’s righteousness. Moreover, as stated in Romans 5:1-2, believers have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit, who comforts and guides them into all truth, fulfilling the promises made through God's covenant.
