What are the obstacles to faith?

Answered in 2 sources

Obstacles to faith include pride, self-reliance, and the false belief that we can understand God without His revelation.

Obstacles to faith primarily stem from a heart that is prideful and self-sufficient. The sermon emphasizes that when individuals pride themselves on their own wisdom, they often misunderstand God's character and truth. Additionally, approaching God or the Scriptures with preconceived notions can hinder our ability to grasp divine insights. True belief requires us to relinquish our own understanding and depend entirely on God's wisdom and His ability to reveal truth to us. Without acknowledging our limitations and looking to God, faith becomes obstructed.
