What assurance do Christians have about God's mercy?

Answered in 1 source

Christians are assured that God's mercy is everlasting and that He will not abandon His people.

The theme of God’s mercy is woven throughout Scripture, assured by His declaration in Isaiah 54 that, for a small moment, He may forsake His people, but with great mercy, He shall gather them back. This reflects God’s redemptive activity whereby He extends grace to believers, regardless of their past failings. The assurance of His mercy directs Christians to rest in the promise that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, reinforcing their security in His grace.
