What assurance do we have in Christ as our refuge?

Answered in 1 source

In Christ, we have the assurance that He is our refuge, providing safety and deliverance from sin and challenges (Hebrews 6:18-19).

In the context of sovereign grace theology, Christ serves as our ultimate refuge. As depicted in Deuteronomy 33:27, the 'eternal God' provides strong support, and this assurance culminates in the person of Jesus Christ, who is our refuge and strength. Hebrews 6:18-19 encourages us by assuring that we have strong consolation and refuge in Him, serving as an anchor for our souls. This means that, despite the challenges and uncertainties of life, we can find true safety and deliverance in Christ. His sacrificial work provides not only a spiritual refuge from our sins but also a promise of eternal security that cannot be shaken by worldly trials.
