What can Christians expect after death according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Christians can expect to be in the immediate presence of the Lord after death (2 Corinthians 5:8).

The Apostle Paul asserts in 2 Corinthians 5:8, 'We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.' This speaks to the believer’s hope that death marks not an end, but a glorious transition into the presence of God. Upon dying, believers will be clothed with immortality, free from the burdens and pains of this earthly life. Their faith assures them that they will behold Christ face-to-face, experiencing joy, renewal, and peace in a manner that surpasses human comprehension. This confident expectation of eternal life propels Christians to live boldly in faith, awaiting their heavenly home.
