What can Christians find comfort in during trials?

Answered in 1 source

Christians can find comfort in God's promises, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the love of Christ.

During times of trials, Christians are encouraged to look to God's promises found in scripture for comfort. John 14:16-18 assures believers that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will abide with them forever. This divine companionship brings peace amidst struggles, reminding them that they are not forsaken. Moreover, knowing that Christ intercedes for us (Romans 8:34) provides a profound comfort. Even when faced with difficulties, the believer can rest assured in the truth that they are held in God's love and that 'the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made [them] free from the law of sin and death' (Romans 8:2).
