What can sinners do to be saved?

Answered in 1 source

Sinners can acknowledge their sinfulness, seek the Lord, and cry out for mercy.

The message of the Gospel assures that while we are powerless to save ourselves, there are actions we can take as sinners. Firstly, we must take our position as sinners, recognizing our need for grace. God loves sinners and sent Christ to save them. Secondly, we should actively seek the Lord as seen with figures like Zacchaeus and the publican who sought Jesus despite their sins. Lastly, we must cry for mercy, openly expressing our need for the Lord to save us, as everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). Thus, embracing humility and reliance on God’s grace is the pathway to salvation.
