What can we bring to God?

Answered in 1 source

We cannot bring anything of worth to God except our sin and need for repentance, which is an act of worship recognizing His holiness.

In our approach to God, the reality is that we cannot offer Him anything valuable such as our material possessions or good works; all we have is our sin and shortcomings. Like the Queen of Sheba, who brought extravagant gifts to Solomon, we must recognize that even these are not what is required for acceptance before the Lord. Instead, we come with genuine confession, acknowledging our failures and our need for His mercy. This act of bringing our sins can indeed be a profound act of worship, as it acknowledges God's holiness and our failure to meet His standard. By coming forth in repentance and sorrow, we realize that it is only through Christ's grace that we can be clothed in His righteousness.
