What can we learn from Abel's faith?

Answered in 2 sources

Abel's faith teaches that true worship involves presenting to God what He has provided, specifically through the blood of a sacrifice.

The account of Abel in Hebrews 11:4 and Genesis 4 shows us that Abel's faith was expressed through his act of offering an acceptable sacrifice to God. Abel understood God's requirement for a blood sacrifice, reflecting God's provision for atonement. This act illustrates how true worship must align with God's prescribed means of drawing near to Him. Unlike Cain, who relied on his works and offerings, Abel's faith acknowledged human inability and fully depended on what God provided—the lamb. This signifies that for believers today, genuine worship is centered around Christ's sacrifice, recognizing Him as the Lamb of God.
