What can we learn from Nehemiah about handling opposition?

Answered in 1 source

Nehemiah teaches us to respond to opposition with prayer, steadfastness, and a commitment to God's work.

Nehemiah's approach to opposition is a powerful example for believers today. When faced with mockery and threats, Nehemiah responded not with anger or retaliation but with prayer and a focus on the work God had called him to do. He sought God's guidance and strength (Nehemiah 4:4) and encouraged the people to remember the Lord's greatness (Nehemiah 4:14). Rather than retreating in fear when faced with challenges, Nehemiah rallied the people to continue the work, equipping them to stand firm. This perseverance in the face of adversity demonstrates the importance of reliance on God and the commitment to fulfill His calling in our lives despite opposition.
