What comfort do Christians have in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is our ultimate comfort, providing assurance of salvation and the promise of eternal life.

Christ serves as our true comfort, as highlighted in the sermon. He accomplished full atonement for our sins, and through His death, we can have peace with God. As stated in 2 Thessalonians 2:16, God grants us 'everlasting consolation and good hope through grace.' This assurance is not based on our merits but solely on the completed work of Christ. When believers are convicted of their sinfulness, the Holy Spirit comforts them by reminding them that Christ's blood has cleansed them from all unrighteousness and that they stand justified before God. This comfort equips Christians to live in the joy and hope of their salvation.
