What comfort do we have in the face of death?

Answered in 1 source

In the face of death, we find comfort in knowing it is just a shadow for believers, as we have eternal life in Christ.

Death is often feared, but for the believer, it is reassuredly described as a shadow in Psalm 23. Shadows cannot cause harm; they lack substance. Jesus has conquered death through His own resurrection, thereby removing its sting, allowing us to face it with confidence. Believers can take comfort in the assurance of eternal life and the promise of being in the presence of the Lord, stating, 'To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.' This truth transforms the believer's perspective on death from dread to a hopeful anticipation of eternal communion with God.
