What distinguishes Christ from other refuges?

Answered in 1 source

Christ distinguishes Himself as the true refuge through His divine appointment, His sacrificial death, and the imputed righteousness He provides.

Christ is distinguished as the only true refuge for sinners because He was not only delivered by God but delivered for God's justice and righteousness. Other refuges may offer false hope, but Christ’s refuge secures our salvation through His sacrifice, fulfilling the demands of the law. The refuge established in Christ allows sinners to find safety and assurance because His work on the cross was perfect and sufficient. Unlike other makeshift shelters, His refuge is secure and everlasting, providing a place of belonging and eternal hope for those who trust in Him.
