What do the cults believe about Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Cults often present a distorted view of Jesus, varying from seeing Him as a mere prophet to denying His divinity altogether.

Many cults provide alternate and often erroneous perspectives on the identity of Jesus, which diverge significantly from orthodox Christian belief. For instance, Mormons consider Jesus to be a created being and the firstborn of Elohim, undermining His divinity. Jehovah's Witnesses view Jesus as the first creation of God, not acknowledging His full divinity. Christian Science teaches that Jesus is merely a Son of God in an abstract sense, not recognizing Him as God incarnate. These beliefs starkly contrast with the historic Christian understanding that Jesus is fully God and fully man. Recognizing these teachings can help believers clarify and defend the true identity of Christ as revealed in Scripture.
