What does adoption by God mean for our daily lives?

Answered in 1 source

Adoption by God means we have a personal relationship with Him, access to His guidance, and the assurance of our eternal inheritance (Galatians 4:7).

Being adopted by God impacts our daily lives significantly. It means we are not only forgiven but brought into an intimate relationship with our Creator, allowing us to call Him 'Abba, Father.' This relationship grants us access to His throne of grace in all matters, whether trivial or significant. Furthermore, as heirs of God, we have the promise of eternal life and fellowship with Him, which shapes our perspectives, values, and actions in this world. Acknowledging our status as God's children encourages us to live in a way that reflects His grace to others.
