What does being free from the law mean for believers?

Answered in 1 source

Being free from the law means that believers are no longer bound by its demands but are enabled to live by grace through faith.

Believers, having placed their faith in Christ, are declared free from the law's demands due to the redemptive work of Jesus, which satisfies God's justice on their behalf. Romans 8:1 declares, 'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.' This freedom is twofold: it liberates from the penalty of sin and from the burdensome ritual of the law. Instead, believers are called to live by faith, empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the law of love, reflecting their new identity in Christ, who reigns over them in grace rather than fear.
