What does Christ’s fulfillment of the law mean for believers?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's fulfillment of the law means that believers are no longer under the law but are justified by faith in Him.

In fulfilling the law, Christ not only obeyed its requirements perfectly but also took upon Himself the penalty for transgressions of the law. As Paul writes in Romans 10:4, 'Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.' This means that believers are justified not by their adherence to the law, but through faith in Christ, who has completed the work necessary for their salvation. This liberation enables Christians to live in accordance with the Spirit, pursuing holiness not out of obligation, but out of gratitude for the grace received through Christ’s sacrificial death and resurrection.
