What does coming to Christ mean?

Answered in 1 source

Coming to Christ means believing in Him and relying on Him for salvation.

To come to Christ is to acknowledge one's need for a Savior and to place complete trust in Him. In John 6:35, Jesus says, 'I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.' This highlights that coming to Christ involves an act of faith—trusting and leaning upon Him for salvation. It is not merely a physical act but a spiritual disposition that leaves behind any reliance on self-righteousness or works. When we come to Christ earnestly, we embrace the sufficiency of His sacrifice and the security of His promises.
