What does death mean for Christians?

In Christian theology, death is seen as a gateway to eternal life, based on Christ's promise in John 11:25-26, where He states that those who believe in Him shall never die. This understanding shifts the perspective on death from something to fear to a transition to glorious life in the presence of God.
