What does directing grace mean in a Christian's life?

Answered in 1 source

Directing grace refers to God's guidance in the lives of believers, ensuring they fulfill His purposes.

Directing grace is the grace by which God actively leads believers in their lives toward His intended outcomes. This aspect of grace emphasizes God's sovereignty and ability to orchestrate circumstances for our good. Throughout the Scriptures, we see God directing His people, such as in the case of Jonah, where God used even Jonah's rebellion to accomplish His purposes. In the life of a believer, this means that every event—joyful or sorrowful—is part of God's divine plan. The assurance that God is directing our paths encourages us to trust Him completely, knowing that He is working all things together for good, as stated in Romans 8:28.
