What does Ezekiel teach us about the responsibility of preaching?

Answered in 1 source

Ezekiel teaches us that we have a solemn responsibility to warn the wicked, regardless of their response.

In Ezekiel 33:7-9, God sets Ezekiel as a watchman for the house of Israel, commanding him to warn the wicked. If the watchman fails to proclaim the message and the wicked perish, their blood is required at his hands. This highlights the preacher's duty to share the gospel and warn of judgment, whether to a receptive audience or not. Thus, every preacher is tasked with the responsibility of delivering God's truth to all, ensuring they are blameless in their calling as God's messengers.
