What does Hebrews say about the blood of Christ compared to animal sacrifices?

Answered in 1 source

Hebrews teaches that the blood of Christ is superior to animal sacrifices because it fully purges our conscience and secures eternal redemption.

In Hebrews 9, the author contrasts the blood of animal sacrifices, which sanctified only to the purifying of the flesh, with the blood of Christ, which purifies our conscience from dead works to serve the living God (Hebrews 9:13-14). The former sacrifices were temporary and could not take away sin permanently, whereas Christ’s sacrifice as the perfect Lamb of God achieved a once-for-all redemption. By offering His own blood, Christ fulfilled the necessary requirements for atonement once and for all, providing true cleansing and reconciliation with God.
