What does it mean for Christ to reign in our hearts?

Answered in 1 source

Christ reigns in the hearts of believers as their Lord and Savior, guiding and transforming their lives.

When we speak of Christ reigning in our hearts, we acknowledge His authority over our lives. As seen in the preaching of Frank Tate, the experience of believers is similar to that of David sitting in a cave while Saul was still on the throne. It reflects the ongoing struggle within us where Christ is King, yet sin may still seem to hold sway. However, as believers, we can rest in the promise that Christ is actively working to establish His reign within us, transforming us and ensuring that one day His sovereignty will be fully realized. This reality calls us to submit to His lordship and to rely on Him daily for strength and guidance.
