What does it mean for God to quicken a dead soul?

Psalm 146 highlights that without God’s intervention, we are dead in trespasses and sins and thus cannot praise Him. Quicken refers to God's act of making us spiritually alive, as stated in Ephesians 2:1, 'and you hath he quickened, who were dead.' This divine action allows us to respond to Him with faith and praise.
