What does it mean that Christ is our only advocate?

Answered in 1 source

Christ serves as our sole advocate, interceding for us before the Father based on His completed work.

According to Hebrews 10:12, Christ, after offering Himself as the perfect sacrifice, now sits at the right hand of God, acting as our High Priest. He not only intercedes on our behalf but does so effectively through His own finished work. This means that all accusations against us are rendered void because of His righteousness. As believers, we can approach God confidently, knowing that Christ's advocacy ensures we are not condemned. This highlights the grace of God in providing Jesus as the sole mediator between Himself and humanity, which is fundamental to the sovereign grace of our salvation.
