What does it mean that God delivers us from the power of darkness?

In Colossians 1:13, it is stated that God has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His Son. This means that before salvation, we were under the dominion of sin and spiritual blindness, held captive by Satan. However, through Christ's work, we are brought into His light, signifying not just a change in status but a complete transformation of our lives. We can now walk in His light, empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a life that pleases Him, free from the bondage of sin.
