What does it mean that God draws us to Himself?

John 6:44 states, 'No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him.' This emphasizes the sovereign grace of God in our salvation journey. It is not a result of our own striving or worthiness but stems from God’s initiative to reconcile us to Himself. In our natural state, we are estranged and far from Him due to sin; hence, it is God who must take the first step, drawing us into relationship.
