What does it mean that God has a purpose in His rule?

Answered in 1 source

God's purpose in ruling over all assures us that His plans will ultimately prevail.

God's sovereignty is characterized not only by His authority and power but also by His divine purpose. Isaiah 46:10 says, 'I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done.' This indicates that God has a specific plan for creation and for each individual within it. His purpose is deliberate and aligns with His will, ensuring that all things work together for His glory and the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Understanding that God has a purpose for His rule allows believers to find peace amid life’s uncertainties, trusting that He is guiding events toward His ultimate design.
