What does it mean that God is faithful in our trials?

Answered in 1 source

God's faithfulness in our trials means He is present with us and works all things for our good.

When faced with trials, God's faithfulness assures us of His presence and His sovereign purposes at work in our lives. As highlighted in Romans 8:28, 'And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.' This means that even in our deepest struggles, God is crafting our experiences for our ultimate benefit and His glory. His faithfulness provides us with comfort, as He promises not only to sustain us but also to sanctify us through these difficulties (1 Peter 1:7). By enduring trials, believers are refined, growing in character and faith, which reflects God's faithfulness to complete the good work He initiated in us, as noted in Philippians 1:6: 'And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.'
