What does it mean that God judges us in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Being judged in Christ means that we are accepted by God not for our own deeds, but based on Christ's righteousness.

When the Bible speaks of being judged in Christ, it refers to the incredible truth that believers are assessed based on the righteousness of Christ rather than their own shortcomings. In Psalm 7:8, we see the plea for judgment based on integrity, which ultimately points to Christ's perfect integrity. Because He bore our sin and was punished in our place, we can stand before God and be judged not guilty. This profound doctrine means that God views believers through the lens of Christ's finished work; thus, they are declared righteous and perfectly accepted because Christ's righteousness is counted as theirs, allowing them to have confidence in their standing before God.
