What does it mean that Jesus is the Everlasting Father?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is called the Everlasting Father as He generates eternal life in believers and will never abandon them.

The title 'Everlasting Father' may seem perplexing due to the distinct roles presented in the Trinity; however, it highlights Jesus' role in the new birth of believers. As the source of eternal life, Jesus is intimately involved in the spiritual rebirth of His followers, indicating that through Him, we receive everlasting life. This title reassures us of His commitment as our Father who nurtures and protects us from eternal separation. Moreover, as the Everlasting Father, He provides everlasting support, love, and guidance, emphasizing that He will never leave nor forsake His own, solidifying our hope and security in Him.
