What does it mean that the law testifies about Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The law points to Christ, revealing our need for Him and the righteousness that comes through faith.

In John 5:39, Jesus reveals that the Scriptures, including the law, testify about Him. The law's purpose is not to save but to lead us to recognize our inability to fulfill its demands and our need for the Savior (Galatians 3:24). By seeing Christ as the fulfillment of the law, believers understand that salvation comes not through adherence to the law but through faith in Him, who redeems from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13).
