What does it mean that we do not seek God?

The scripture reveals the condition of humanity apart from divine intervention. In Isaiah 65:1, God declares, 'I am sought of them that asked not for me.' This indicates that in our natural state—spiritually dead in trespasses and sins—we do not seek God unless He enables us to do so. Our sinful nature leads us to pursue false hopes rather than the true God.
