What does it mean to be an enemy of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Being an enemy of Christ refers to those who oppose Him and seek to undermine His authority, as all unbelievers do by nature.

The concept of being an enemy of Christ highlights the natural state of humanity apart from salvation. In the sermon, it is emphasized that all unbelievers are considered enemies of Christ because of their enmity towards God and His revelation. Romans 8:7 states that the carnal mind is enmity against God, and it is only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit that one becomes a friend of Christ. This highlights the seriousness of one's standing before God and the consequences of rejecting Christ. Those who will not submit to Christ's authority and proclaim Him as Lord are, by their nature, in rebellion against their Creator and ultimately face divine judgment.
