What does it mean to be an object of God's favor?

Answered in 1 source

Being an object of God's favor means we have been chosen and transformed from objects of wrath into recipients of His mercy (Ephesians 2:3, 4).

In Ephesians 2:3, Paul describes humanity as being by nature objects of wrath due to sin. However, through God's redemptive work, we are transformed into objects of His mercy and love. This change signifies that we are no longer lost and hopeless but have become partakers of divine grace. Understanding our status as objects of God's favor reassures us of His commitment to work in our lives, shaping us according to His perfect will, and ultimately conforming us to the image of Christ.
