What does it mean to be cursed and redeemed?

Answered in 1 source

To be cursed means to be under the law's condemnation; to be redeemed means to be delivered from this curse by Christ.

To be cursed signifies that we are objects of God's just wrath due to our sinfulness and failure to uphold the law. As described in Galatians 3:10-12, everyone who violates the law stands under its condemnation. However, redemption through Christ changes this status, as articulated in Galatians 3:13. Here, Christ takes the curse of the law upon Himself, thus delivering us from it, allowing believers to stand justified before God. This transformation from cursed to redeemed is fundamental to the Christian faith as it reveals God's grace and mercy toward sinners, enabling them to receive the blessings of salvation.
