What does it mean to be delivered from the law?

Answered in 1 source

Being delivered from the law means we are freed from its curse and condemnation through Jesus Christ (Galatians 5:1).

In Romans 7, Paul articulates a profound truth: believers are delivered from the law's condemnation due to their union with Christ. This freedom comes as a result of Christ having fulfilled the law on our behalf, settling our accounts completely. By faith, we are considered dead to the law, enabling us to live under grace. This truth is essential in Reformed theology, emphasizing that through Christ's atonement, we are released from the law's demands while being empowered to fulfill the essence of the law through the Spirit, which leads to a life of true holiness and obedience.
