What does it mean to be established in the faith?

Answered in 2 sources

Being established in the faith means trusting fully in Christ and His work for salvation.

Colossians 2:7 indicates that believers are to be rooted and built up in faith, which involves a deep, unwavering trust in Christ alone. This entails understanding one's identity in Christ, recognizing that salvation is entirely a work of grace, and depending on His righteousness rather than our own. Being established means engaging with Scripture and the means of grace, allowing faith to flourish and develop through an intimate relationship with Christ. As we focus on Him, we grow in our understanding and foundation of the gospel.
