What does it mean to be in the faith?

Answered in 3 sources

Being in the faith means being spiritually united with Christ and committed to His truth as revealed in Scripture.

To be 'in the faith' involves a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus Christ and an acceptance of the truths of the gospel. It is not merely a matter of personal belief, but entails a commitment to the doctrines of Scripture and recognition of Christ's soteriological work in our lives. The faith encompasses a life transformed by grace, sustained by the Holy Spirit, and directed towards Christ's glory. Thus, being in the faith is evidenced through a believer's hunger for God's Word, a desire for prayer, and fellowship with other believers, marking a radical transformation that reflects the reality of salvation.
