What does it mean to be on the Lord's side?

Answered in 2 sources

Being on the Lord's side means acknowledging our sinfulness and taking God's side against ourselves (Exodus 32:26).

To be on the Lord's side involves recognizing and confessing our nature as sinners deserving of God's judgment. It necessitates a humility that admits, 'I deserve condemnation,' while also believing in the mercy available through Christ's atonement. This identification with God against our own sinful inclinations means embracing the truth of our depravity and the integral role of grace in our lives. In doing so, we align ourselves with God’s will and purpose, positioning ourselves to receive His benefits and blessings, which are found solely in Christ.
