What does it mean to be regenerate according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

To be regenerate means that God has transformed your heart, enabling you to respond to Him in faith.

Regeneration is a sovereign act of God where He transforms an unregenerate heart, giving new life and enabling faith (John 3:3). This spiritual rebirth allows the regenerate person to see the beauty of Christ and the truth of His word (2 Corinthians 4:6). While all are born dead in sin (Ephesians 2:1), regeneration brings about a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) that desires to follow God and submit to His law, reflecting His glory through obedience empowered by the Holy Spirit.
