What does it mean to be saved in the past, present, and future?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is multifaceted: completed in the past, ongoing in the present, and future hope of glory.

Salvation encompasses different aspects: we are saved from the guilt of sin through Christ's atoning work in the past, as noted in 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14. Presently, we are being saved as we continue to rely on God's grace and seek sanctification, recognizing our daily need for mercy. Finally, we look forward to the future aspect of salvation when we shall be saved fully, as promised in the resurrection at Christ's return. This holistic understanding captures the ongoing work of salvation in the life of a believer.
