What does it mean to be still in God's presence?

Answered in 1 source

To be still in God's presence means to rest and trust in His supreme authority and to cease from our own striving and anxieties.

Being still in God’s presence involves a posture of surrender, trust, and reverence towards Him. In Psalm 46:10, God commands us to 'be still,' which calls us not to inactivity but to a spiritual posture of dependence and acknowledgment of His sovereignty. It means setting aside our worries and ceasing from our own efforts to control situations, recognizing that He governs all things according to His will. This stillness allows us to find peace amidst our trials, focusing on God rather than our problems. The act of being still before God fosters a deeper relationship with Him, wherein we can experience His grace and strength while acknowledging that He alone is God who reigns over all creation.
