What does it mean to bear the body of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Bearing the body of Christ refers to identifying with His Church and the gospel.

To bear the body of Christ means to actively participate in the life of the Church and identify with Christ’s body, as exemplified by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. After seeing Christ crucified, they took His body down, signifying their public acknowledgment of Him and their desire to be associated with His work. Hebrews 13:13 encourages believers to go forth unto Christ without the camp, bearing His reproach. This act of bearing Christ's body represents the call to unity among believers and the commitment to share in both the suffering and the glory that comes with following Christ. In essence, it’s about being a vital part of the Church, which is the body of Christ.
