What does it mean to believe in Christ according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Believing in Christ involves trusting in His power to save and recognizing Him as the source of our righteousness.

To believe in Christ is to fully recognize Him as the Savior capable of healing and redeeming us from our sins. This belief goes beyond mere assent to facts; it is a living faith that leads us to come to Him as our only hope. In Matthew 8:2-3, the leper’s faith in Christ's ability to heal illustrates this. He did not hesitate to approach Jesus, believing that if He willed it, he would be made whole. Our belief also involves acknowledging our own helplessness and desperate need for His grace and mercy, firmly placing our faith in Him for salvation.
