What does it mean to come to Christ for mercy?

Answered in 1 source

Coming to Christ for mercy means acknowledging our need for His grace and forgiveness.

To come to Christ for mercy is to recognize our sinful condition and inability to save ourselves. The Bible reminds us that God’s mercy is accessible to all who humbly seek it (James 4:6). In deliberate faith, we approach Him with our burdens, knowing that His grace is sufficient for our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9). This act of coming is not based on our worthiness but upon His character as a loving and gracious Savior.
