What does it mean to commit our souls to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Committing our souls to Christ means completely trusting Him with our lives, both now and for eternity.

To commit our souls to Christ is to place our entire trust in Him for our salvation and daily living. As Paul expresses in 2 Timothy 1:12, this commitment is made with full conviction of His ability to keep us secure against future uncertainties, including death and judgment. This commitment goes beyond salvation; it extends to all aspects of life—our possesions, relationships, and even our bodies. Just as Job declared confidence in God amidst trials, we too can wholeheartedly surrender everything to Christ, knowing He oversees our well-being and is faithful to raise us on the last day.
