What does it mean to delight in the Lord?

Answered in 3 sources

Delighting in the Lord means finding joy and satisfaction in Him above all else, recognizing His character and goodness.

Delighting in the Lord involves a heartfelt commitment to find joy, satisfaction, and identity in who God is rather than in the fleeting pleasures of the world. Psalm 37:4 encourages believers that as they delight themselves in the Lord, He will give them the desires of their hearts—those desires that align with His will. This delight is rooted in understanding God's attributes: His righteousness, faithfulness, and love. When believers focus on God, their hearts are transformed, leading them to seek what truly satisfies, namely, a closer relationship with Him.
